Do you think things just happen simply because God says so, or do you also have a role to play?
Let me paint a scenario for you…
Before Joseph went to Egypt, he had already dreamt of his greatness.
However, after he was sold into slavery, the Bible tells us that he was diligent in all his affairs, which made him stand out—beyond the favor of God upon him.
Even in prison, his diligence was so evident that the warden entrusted him with the responsibility of caring for the other prisoners.

Joseph had a role to play in partnering with the dream God gave him. He built his character and remained faithful in his assignments. And sure enough, after more than 18 years, God’s word concerning him came to pass.

Partnership
Partnership—a term I’m sure you’re familiar with. In some way, you have worked with someone on a project, as a team, or even in a relationship. This duet is so advantageous that it gets things done a lot faster, smarter, and better.
As a believer, God has given you a partner to navigate life's challenges and successes—the Holy Spirit. However, many times, when God speaks words and promises over us, we tend to expect them to just happen without us lifting a finger. We assume that because we have the Spirit of God, anger will suddenly disappear, bad habits will break themselves, and success will magically fall into our laps. But in reality, that’s not how it works.
What am I trying to say?
Matthew 19:26 (NLT)
Jesus looked at them intently and said, “Humanly speaking, it is impossible. But with God everything is possible.”
With: accompanied by (another person or thing)
Our Christian journey is a duet—you and God. It takes the agreement of both parties working together to bring fulfillment to the words spoken over you. There are times when God, in His sovereignty, moves without your input (this is called grace). However, every miracle in Scripture involved a medium—man.
Again, what point am I driving at?
The words God has spoken over your life are already settled—they will come to pass. But you have a part to play. You must walk and work with Him. That means learning the necessary skills, enrolling in the right courses, stepping into the right opportunities, and positioning yourself for the fulfillment of His promises. If you don’t, those words will remain hanging, waiting for you to take action.
Partnership is...
… showing up when God calls.
… preparing for what He has promised.
… aligning your actions with His word.
… walking in obedience, even when it doesn’t make sense.
You are God’s laborer. When you move in faith, He moves in power.
So, don’t just wait—walk.
Don’t just hear—act.
Because with God, everything is possible.
Every word spoken about you will come to pass! Because what you see does not cancel out what God said 💙.
